This October, the team enjoyed an amazing weekend away in Dublin.
Our itinerary included: Visiting the Guinness Factory, exploring Temple Bar and heading to Curragh Racecourse to watch the horse racing.
On arrival we checked into the glorious Hard Rock Hotel, which was located only a few minutes walk from Temple Bar...the perfect location for our base. The hotel had some gorgeous cocktails, which we enjoyed both Friday and Saturday night as well as some amazing live music on the Saturday. In the mornings the Hotel served up some beautiful breakfasts, from the classic "Full Irish" to some gorgeous french toast and a local potato pancake served with smoked salmon and creme fraiche.
Unfortunately, due to a delayed flight, we were unable to make the Guinness Factory but we made the most of the buzzing bars on Temple Bar where we danced and drank. We found an amazing Wine and Tapas restaurant which served up a huge variety of yummy dishes. Including some crunchy pork, shredded duck cannelloni, seafood paella and goats cheese salad. That was only a small amount of the insane amount of food we enjoyed!!
On Saturday we thoroughly enjoyed our day at the races. For some of the team this was their first time and beginners luck definitely seemed to work for Nicole. Everyone walked away better off (apart from one) so overall we can say it was a relatively successful day. Lowenna was thrilled to catch a glimpse of her favourite horse trainer and a famous jockey.
The day at Curragh Racecourse was in support of the Irish Football Rugby Union Charitable Trust. In support of this cause, we donated some money to throw some rugby balls. Lucy landed on her feet and managed to get two balls through the holes, Izzy was not quite so successful but they both walked away with a hat regardless. The IRFU Charitable Trust is a great cause which helps seriously injured players regain their independence and confidence and we were happy to show them our support.
Saturday night was filled with some great Italian, some more dancing and drinking and an acoustic singer who played a variety of 90's club classics.
All in all, it was an amazing weekend and we are so excited to start working towards our next team target for May 2023.
